About

I’ve always told people I met that I was from Cleveland, but it wasn’t really true until last year when my husband Ryan and I moved from our house in Bay Village to Tremont, a neighborhood in Cleveland where my grandma lived when she was a little girl. We have a park, record stores, a book store, about 14 churches (many of which offer services in languages other than English), and some of the best food in the midwest. We can walk to most things we need, and, so far, I love it here. This blog is mostly about the things I’ve found to do here, but it’s also a little about being 30, teaching, being a grad student, and any ridiculous new hobby I  might be trying out at the moment (currently: tap dancing, cake baking/apron wearing, Mississippi Delta blues listening). I spend most days reading with high school students. They remind me that we are all filled with undiscovered potential. Just like Cleveland.
